M & I Clinic
Maternal & Infant Clinic
Mercy's M&I Clinic provides low-cost, quality prenatal care to area
women who otherwise may not have access to such services. The clinic serves
mothers-to-be throughout the four-count area of Allen, Bourbon, Crawford,
Linn and Neosho counties.
Patients qualify for M&I Clinic care based upon their income level,
and the clinic staff also helps patients locate and enroll in other social
service programs.
Complete prenatal care is provided at the clinic, including ultrasound
and lab tests. In addition, one clinic visit is offered after deliver
for a checkup of Mom.
The M&I Clinic is staffed by Mercy nursing personnel and staff physicians,
as well as a licensed social worker and licensed dietician. The clinic
is open every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Mercy Physicians
Clinic which is located in the Mercy Health Center, 401 Woodland Hills
Blvd., Fort Scott, KS 66701. The clinic serves an average of 30 patients
weekly.
At Mercy, we believe in respecting the dignity of all persons, regardless
of age or economic status. The M&I Clinic is designed to offer care
when it is most critical, during pregnancy, to women who otherwise might
