Dan is a partner in the CPA Firm of Yerkes & Michels. He helps manage the firm and provides accounting, auditing and tax services to clients. He is currently the treasurer for the Independence Rotary Club and a member of the Independence Junior Achievement Board of Directors.

Dan enjoys golfing and fishing. He was elected to the Mercy Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees in July 2003.
