Giving Opportunities
The Foundation welcomes the opportunity to work with individuals and families who wish to help continue the mission of Mercy Health Center. Funds for the Foundation are generated through a variety of giving tools and the development staff is available to work with you to accomplish your philanthropic goals. Other programs offered through the Mercy Health Center Foundation include:
Memorial Contributions - Contributions may be made in memory of a loved one or to honor a valued friend or family member. Gifts of any size are welcomed. A "Tree of Life" is displayed in Mercy Health Center to commemorate gifts of $250 or more. Special naming opportunities for large gifts are available throughout the Health Center.
Deferred Gifting and Bequests - Through this
program, donors are able to design a gift to meet their personal financial needs
as well as those of the Mercy Health Center. Financial planners are available to
the Foundation to consult with individual donors about the various investment
options. For more information, please call the Foundation office at 620-223-7073 or click the Fort Scott button above under Contact Us.
Capital Campaigns - Capital campaigns are designed to raise funds for a specific service line or equipment purchase for Mercy Health Center. Previous campaigns have included: the new Mercy Health Center building campaign, the purchase of AED's to be placed in public areas throughout Bourbon County, and most recently the Cancer Center.
Sustained Giving - Sustained giving opportunities are gifts to the Mercy Health Center Foundation that cycle monthly, quarterly or annually. These gifts are used to help support a variety of equipment, programs and services which Mercy might be unable to provide without this program. Example of this form of giving include the Women in Philanthropy program and the United Way.
Special Events - The Angel program is designed to recognize Mercy co-workers who have shown the finest in customer service for a patient or visitor while at Mercy Health Center. A donor may make a financial contribution in recognition of the co-worker to the Angel program. In turn, the co-worker receives written recognition as well as an award during the Annual Co-worker Recognition Program.
