Mercy Health System of Kansas sets next Spirit of Women events
As part of its “Spirit of Women” programming initiative, Mercy Health System of Kansas will host its next free women’s health symposiums, “Get What You Need Out Of Life, Part 3: Get Smarter, Get Stronger,” on Thursday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the Independence Civic Center and Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Liberty Theater in Fort Scott.
More“Oh, Mercy! BBQ Challenge” proclaimed “State Championship”
By proclamation of Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, the Mercy Hospital Foundation’s “Oh, Mercy! BBQ Challenge: Grillin’ & Goodwillin’” barbecue cooking event, scheduled for May 2 and 3 in Independence, has officially been declared a “state championship” contest. The event will be conducted at the Riverside Park oval and is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.
